Ukrainian Social Academy begins implementation of a new project aimed at building the capacity of the Institute of Permanent Formation of Priests!
The project of managerial development for the priests of the Chernivtsi, Kamyanets-Podilsky Dioceses and the Lutsk Exarchate of the UGCC will allow to expand knowledge, improve managerial skills and develop leadership qualities of participants.
The Synod of Bishops of the UGCC, held in Lviv on October 14-21, 1996, instructed the bishops to take care of the constant formation of their priests. This synodal resolution, as well as other documents of the Teachers’ Government of the Church, testify to the necessity and importance of the constant formation of the clergy.
The program is specially designed for the needs that arise during all life cycles of religious organizations: biblical catechesis and preaching, canonical and civil literacy, liturgical and ceremonial discipline, parish management, building a system of work to attract funding and management of church property.
Ongoing formation is a mean of better pastoral care, better teaching, and a better witness to Christ in the various circumstances of our lives.
The project plans to hold three three-day modules in Chernivtsi, Kamyanets-Podilsky Dioceses and for the Lutsk Exarchate of the UGCC in the period from October 2021 to April 2022. Participation in training modules is free, the costs are covered by the Ukrainian Social Academy, except for travel.
